I discovered Almea in March 2000, and since then I have felt like sending you an e-mail. I downloaded and printed most of your texts and maps! I especially love Verdurian and Barakhinei. I wish they were real languages, which could be used in real life. I translated the "Tisarana", a short Buddhist prayer, from Pali to Verdurian:

Lädai soán echitulán com zhes
Lädai soan chunashean com zhes
Lädai soán adhetonán com zhes

Ftore fuáy lädai soán echitulán com zhes
Ftore fuáy lädai soan chunashean com zhes
Ftore fuáy lädai soán adhetonoán com zhes

Tvere fuáy lädai soán echitulán com zhes
Tvere fuáy lädai soan chunashean com zhes
Tvere fuáy lädai soán adhetonán com zhes

Mark responds:

Neat! When was this prayer written?

I'm confused about one thing-- what did you intend with com zhes? It would seem to mean 'like home', but I'm not sure what that means!
